The networking and research project dynaklim carries out multi-disciplinary research on ‘dynamic’ adaption to the effects of climate change. The project focuses on the potential impacts on the regional water balance and the possible options to adapt for population, economy and environment.
By setting up a sustainable regional network, a web-based knowledge management system and a region-spanning roadmap process “Regional Adaptation”, dynaklim assists the region to continue to develop itself into a future-based conurbation with a significantly improved ability to innovate and to adapt to climate change. dynaklim is therefore a nationally and internationally significant model for climate change adaptation of metropolitan areas and their hinterlands.
Additionally the network involved from the beginning 21 additional partners from the region, such as water companies, political institutions, national authorities, industry, research institutions and regional stakeholders.
